Neurodiversity in the Workplace
Background
As an undergraduate at Bentley I worked on a capstone project for my second major in Diversity and Society. I had to choose something that tied in elements from both my business classes and psychology/sociology classes. I decided on a project that heavily included elements of my Usability and the User Experience, Marketing Health: Consumers Pursuit of Wellness, and Problems and Differences in Disabilities courses. It is a project I hope to continue to develop throughout the UX Certificate program and potentially graduate school.
The Project
In addition to 10 interviews with HR professionals and writing 3 research papers on the topic I developed 4 personas with neurodiversity. Developing these personas will help better define current issues these people are facing in the workplace before working on the solution.
